The latest iteration of the gaming classic, The Sims, has arrived as a soft launch for both iOS and Android in Brazil. Aptly named The Sims Mobile, this free-to-play game seems to be very faithful to the PC-based version that won it so much acclaim. There are plenty of things to do in The Sims Mobile besides the usual home and character customization, and the game also lets you interact with real life friends to fully experience its virtual world together. EA has launched mobile games in The Sims franchise before, but it is due for a refresh. EA also has an opportunity to scoop up new mobile users who haven’t played Sims game...

After years in the wilderness The Sims is about to make a comeback, with what will hopefully be the best mobile version so far. The current mobile game is The Sims FreePlay, which like most freemium apps is anything but free. In fact, you can barely do anything worthwhile without having to buy in-app purchases, which has put off most fans. The Sims Mobile looks like it’s based on The Sims 4 on the PC, what with all the talk about shaping families over multiple generations and unlocking heirlooms and hobbies for future offspring. There’s also the promise of detailed customisation options for your sims and their homes, with what looks like a surprisingly detailed house-building tool. The most encouraging part of the trailer though is the virtual parties, which seem to feature proper multiplayer...
