‘The Sims 4’ Team Responds To Speculations ‘The Sims Mobile’ Might Replace PC Game

With the unveiling of "The Sims Mobile," some members of the gaming community speculated that developers might be focusing its resources on the upcoming Android and iOS game. Recently, a member of "The Sims 4" team addressed the said rumors.
"The Sims 4" is the latest PC version of Electronic Arts' popular life simulation game. The said gaming title has already received three expansion packs, four game packs and 10 stuff packs that introduced new active careers, several in-game worlds, vampires, new hobbies and more.
However, several gamers expressed their apprehensions that the upcoming "The Sims Mobile" might delay the release of new content for the game's PC version. Some members of the gaming community even commented that it might mark the end of "The Sims 4" with game developer Maxis allegedly focusing all its resources on deploying interesting additions to the mobile game.
Recently, a member of "The Sims 4" team addressed the said speculations and gave a quick glimpse of the development work being done for both gaming titles. In a post on the game's official forums, SimGuruDrake assured gamers that "The Sims Mobile" will not impact ongoing plans for the game's PC version.
With two separate teams working on "The Sims 4" and "The Sims Mobile," development work for each of the game titles will be done by dedicated Maxis employees. SimGuruDrake also indicated that labeling the upcoming release of the Android and iOS game as a "doomsday" product for the PC game is a bit unfair.
SimGuruDrake even assured avid "The Sims 4" fans that the said game "is still going strong and we have no plans to stop development anytime soon." She added, "So DontPanic and give our mobile family a chance to show you what they are capable of."
In other news, the recent Electronic Arts' earnings call unveiled some interesting information about "The Sims 4." In a press release, as obtained by Sims VIP, Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson shared that the PC game saw an uptick of monthly active players with a 33 percent increase year-over-year as of Q4 2016.
"The Sims 4" was released in September 2014 for PC and MAC. Meanwhile, "The Sims Mobile" was recently soft-launched in Brazil for iOS and Android devices but will be deployed in other gaming markets soon.
