"The Sims 5" Possible Features, Improvements & Expectations
Isports Times previously reported EA's announcement that the fate and release of "The Sims 5" largely depend on the market sales of "The Sims 4." "The Sims" official even said that "The Sims 5" will not be released if "The Sims 4" will not have satisfactory revenue.
EA announced its recent quarterly financial results on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. It shows that they had $1.81 earnings per share for the quarter with $1527.00 million revenue. This went beyond what Wall Street and other analysts' expect. "The Sims 4" monthly active users also increased up to 33% in the fourth quarter and this figure continues to increase, Forbes reports. With this, "The Sims 5" may now be in the works despite EA's silence about the development and release of the game.
The 2019 release date for "The Sims 5" fits with EA's four- to a five-year interval in releasing the different "The Sims" entries. However, these are just guesses and EA may ditch their usual trend. They are the ones developing the game after all.
"The Sims 5" will offer advanced features. One of its widely discussed possible features is VR compatibility. With this, "The Sims" players will experience improved simulation, fully immerse themselves in the game, and play their character directly.
"The Sims 5" fans also expect that the game will turn into an open world format or offer bigger worlds. They also expect to see open carrier and education for the Sims, Tech Blorge reports.
In terms of "The Sims" setting, "The Sims 5" location may be based on "The Sims 4: City Living" DLC concrete jungle Myshuno. However, the new "The Sims" will offer more characters, objects, and items compared to "The Sims 4." Since the graphics largely improved from "The Sims 3" to "The Sims 4," "The Sims 5" is expected to feature improved graphics such as better map layout and visuals. It also includes bright animation graphics, high quality of characters and more simulations mode. Furthermore, "The Sims 5" is set to feature vehicles such as bicycles and cars, which players can finally drive.

  2. I disagree with the above statement. I enjoy Sims games and think a VR element could be fun.
