An Old Katy Perry Video of Her Singing the 'Sims' Language Sparks a New Meme

Katy Perry has been in the internet spotlight plenty of times. First, there was the avalanche of memes that happened after she performed at the 2015 Super Bowl (never forget Left Shark). Not to mention the fact that every Met Gala she attends always sparks a handful of wacky comparisons. That said, Katy's never one to shy away from poking fun at herself, so we'd expect her appreciate a new meme currently making the rounds, which involves a video of her singing vocal nonsense.
Okay, so it's not exactly gibberish. It turns out that back in 2012, Katy sang her hit song "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" in Simlish, the language from The Sims computer games franchise. Katy sings, "yarbe tansel table doops, even tooka mimi shoops, hey pukepsie up for goops" which appears to be a rough translation of "Last Friday Night's" iconic chorus.
She recorded the track for The Sims 3, but for many the video faded into obscurity. However, the video has gained some viral juice as of late after Twitter user @iwasdivine resurfaced the clip for a joke. And now, it's just another Katy Perry meme for the internet's viewing pleasure.
The Katy fan wrote, "Me when KP4 tour comes along and I still haven't remembered all of the lyrics to the album yet @katyperry" along with the video. So they're pretty much just making some jokes about not being able to fully sing along, but knowing just enough random words that maybe it could work.

Now that the video has reappeared on Twitter, plenty of others have started to riff off the meme and making their own jokes about not knowing other singers' lyrics.
